Dr. Zambrano

Dr. Zambrano received his BA from Columbia University in NY, his Master of Science in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in MA, and his MD from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University in NY. Dr. Zambrano is Board Certified in Family Medicine, a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice, and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

Dr. Zambrano has two decades of experience training medical students, residents, attendings, and hospital executives. Some of his prior positions have included a Senior Consultant with Greeley Consulting, where he developed educational programs for practicing physicians and presented nationally on various topics. Previously, Dr. Zambrano served as a Senior Medical Director for Oak Street Health, a CMO for Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN, a CMO for Aurora Healthcare in Kenosha, WI, Deputy and Interim CMO for VISN 7 in GA, and the Chief of Staff at the West Texas VA Health Care System. He served in the United States Army Reserve from 2001-2012 with four deployments.

Dr. Zambrano has been heavily involved in diversity and inclusion throughout his career, having published a book chapter and multiple presentations. He mentors for his undergraduate university and ACHE for diversity candidates. Dr. Zambrano has won the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives Leadership Award.

Dr. Zambrano has been married for over 30 years and has three daughters. His daughters currently attend MIT, Harvard, and Canterbury High School. He enjoys spending time with them whenever they are home, practicing magic, and teaching others how to fly airplanes as a certificated flight instructor.
